Welcome! Duniya Khaaniya mein kayam hai. Toh yeh meri khaani ki choti se jaaga hai!
We are shaped by many stories—those we inherit, those we create and carry, and those we long to tell. Hi, I'm Anika Sharma — a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student with a deep passion for culturally responsive care and mental health advocacy.
In our communities, mental health is often a quiet, soft ache, - tangled in tradition, shame, and silence. Together, we begin to untangle it. We explore identity, generational patterns, and the unspoken emotions that live beneath the surface. Weaving art and storytelling, we create room to breathe, reflect, and reimagine. Art, language, and culture become vessels for healing.
Growing up South Asian- American, I witnessed how stigma, generational trauma, and silence around mental health can deeply affect individuals and families. These experiences shaped my desire to become a therapist who honors culture while helping clients explore identity, heal emotional wounds, and reclaim their voice.
My approach blends evidence-based practices like CBT, and a strengths-based approach with creative expression and storytelling rooted in our heritage. I also use art as a healing tool—offering safe spaces for adolescents to process emotions and connect with themselves and their community.
Through this work, I hope to challenge stigma, make mental health more accessible, and help others feel seen and supported—exactly as they are.
This is a place for softness, strength, and transformation. We do not have to choose between honoring our roots and healing our wounds—we can do both.
